What is the best way to teach your dog a new trick.?

With or without candy? and tips on teaching my tricks dog. I need all the help I can get, she is a Border Collie if that helps any.

It depends on what type of drive you want your dog to develop. The dogs are taught to have toys and treat readers. Most people use treats 100% as is the easiest way to get good behavior. If you intend to compete in sports competitions or if you intend to eliminate gradually treated, it can impede your progress a little. Toys are great, but you must condition the dog to see toys as a reward. Look up "operant conditioning" and "positive reinforcement". I used clicker training and I think frankly that say "Yes!" had the same effect as clickers. In addition, it frees a hand over! Try to find a coach and attend two classes. You and your dog will excel, and you will both learn so much!
