Dog won’t listen! Won’t come and House Training problems!?

I have many problems with my Dachshund. He is currently 8 months and he is really starting to piss me off. I am trying my best with training him, but he just won’t cooperate.

I have been house training him since we first got him. Stuck to a schedule, and every 1 hour I would take him outside to potty again. However, once in a while he would always go find a nice clean spot on the carpet and potty there.

Besides the house training, I have also been training him the sit/stay/come commands. If I have treats, there is no problem and he listens to me every time. However when he realizes I don’t have treats, he just ignores me.

He also has behavior problems. When we are inside the house, and I try to pet him, he runs away thinking I am going to chase him. This is very annoying during nighttime when I must put him in his crate. It takes me forever just to catch him.

Please help me. I don’t want to give my dog away…

I had the same problem. You dog breed of which had the same are natually hyper active dogs they want to play all the time and love to run. When you carte him give him a toy. Show him the toy sqeak it if it sqeaks and shake it the do will think play time throw the toy into his crate and he should follow it. Also when you do this annouce bed time or bed. This will fimlarize him with the idea if i am being put here it is time to sleep. Put dark cover over the crate leaving a small hole for light this is also telling him time for bed. Do not put him in bed if he is making you mad that just makes him fear it. he isn’t coming when you do not have a treat. Close your hand and act as if you have one showing him your hand and shaking it. Get down to his level on your knees. And call him in anice voice Saying Here(Insert dogs name) In My Case it was mahatten or manny and call him make sounds tap teh floor get his attention Do it a few more times if he continues to ignore you be little more forceful In loud not so nice voice say coem here (Dogs name) they should realize that you are not playing.i f he does come the frost or second time praise him pet him on teh head sracth him behind teh ear rub his belly. i hope these help
