How do you get in the training of police dogs?
I've been training dogs and I try to do more training on protection (dressage Police Dog) Does anyone has any advice or know how to get into something like this without having to become a cop. I spoke some people and some say you need to train a dog and then show him and do things to show how good you are .. and some say you need to become a cop .. Thank you!
The best place to start is a Schutzhund club. Basic protection work is done here for the sport. You need a good dog and a good attitude, not a badge. Although many cops do with their SchH k9 too. Be advised that all dogs are cut into the work of protection, so do your homework and get the entry of people SchH if you need advice to find the right dog.
