How do you train a dog that never barks, the bark in certain circumstances?
It is the opposite problem of what many Owners of dogs. We just saved another friendly and apparently well-adjusted 3-year Dalmatian shelter, so that we know nothing its history. Give him six months to settle and become part of your family. I think you will find that eventually barking the bell of his own. In addition, make sure you give him plenty of strenuous exercise – at least thirty minutes of hard running or playing ball every day. Much bad behavior is pent up energy and Dals athletes are high energy! And do some obedience training every day too. Once he gets comfortable in your home, it may start trying to take over.
